new year’s intentions for small business!
We don’t love New Year’s resolutions, they put the pressure on and ultimately make us feel bad when that gym membership collets dust, or when the drawers get disorganized and stop bringing us joy! What we do love, however, is thinking about some New Years intentions for small businesses! Intentions are guidelines, not hard-fast rules, therefore they are flexible and forgiving. Our kinda rules!
For this year we are setting 6 New Year’s intentions. These will guide us into the new year and hopefully keep us focused throughout 2023 and beyond. What’s more, they aren’t only intended for the small. business owners, such as ourselves, but for anyone looking to stay focused and inspired daily, weekly, and yearly!
Our six New Year’s intentions for small businesses include the following simple items:
Get Organized (in whatever way/shape/ form that is applicable to you!)
Plan Out Large & Small Goals (remember: tiny steps lead to HUGE leaps!)
Do a Little Each Day (nothing is insignificant and find joy in the everyday little things!)
Have a Positive Attitude (a little bit of positivity goes a long way!)
Try Something Creative (even if it means putting hot sauce on your ice cream - we’ve tried it & it’s fun!)
Keep Going (in the wise words of Commander Taggart of Galaxy Quest: never give up and never surrender!)
Setting New Year’s intentions is a great way to stay focused but without the pressure. Intentions guide and gently nudge but they are not set in stone, which is always a positive in our books!
For us, this year our number 1 intention is (always) to get organized, especially since we’re planning to expand our business in 2023! (More to come, stay tuned!) But we are also going to strive to be gentle with ourselves, which includes resting when it’s needed and celebrating even the smallest accomplishments!
What are you all planning for 2023?
