Hello there!

We are Kat & Emily and we are The Likely Creatives! Many moons ago, we met in grad school, where we studied communication & specialized in visual communication. We hit it off instantly, bonding over our mutual love of design, anything & everything vintage, polka dots, & various shades of pink! Fast forward a few years later, here we are: two former academics, artists, & creative souls dedicated to elevating other entrepreneur’s dreams.

We love helping our clients to evolve & elevate their businesses with visual & written content - whether that means a full brand overhaul or just some tweaks in social media management, we are here for it all! Welcome!

Kat for short. I am a professional photographer, who has worked in the photography & communications industries for over a decade. I am well-versed in the art of effective communication and love helping other business owners tell their story through written & visual content.

I love bright colours, textures, emotions, & anything that sparks joy in our amazing clients and TEA (Earl Grey, Hot!) I am a collector of all things that tell a story; whether that’s the pile of books (always growing) all over the house or the many fashion finds that are threatening to over-take my husband’s closet (shhhh don’t tell!) I am a sucker for a great narrative or vintage piece. I bring my love of story-telling (visual & written) to all of my work!

I am inspired by powerful women, kind souls, & creativity.

Hi! I am Katarina!

Hi! I am Emily!

Em for short! A text-book “renaissance soul” (i.e., person with multiple core interests), I thrive on variety, love learning new things, and have a deep appreciation for organizing and project planning.

I’m a trained researcher/writer/editor, with a larger-than-life passion for visual communication and design.

Empathy is my superpower, which makes me great at listening and working one-on-one (fun fact: I used to teach large groups of university students, but I much prefer interacting with smaller groups!)

When it comes to hobbies, reading and sewing are two lifelong interests (another fun fact: I got my first sewing machine at age 13 and used to make my own clothes).
